Oasis announced their reunion on 27 August 2024, played Live '25 in 2025, and announced Live '27 on 14 September 2026 for 42 shows in 2027.

Before the reunion

Oasis formed in Manchester in 1991. Liam Gallagher sang with a band first called the Rain. Noel Gallagher joined as lead guitarist and songwriter, on the condition that he took creative control.

Creation Records signed the band after a Glasgow show at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in 1993. Definitely Maybe followed in August 1994 and reached number one in the United Kingdom. Morning Glory followed in October 1995 and became one of the best-selling albums in British chart history.

Oasis played two nights at Knebworth on 10 and 11 August 1996. Each night drew 125,000 people, for 250,000 in total.

  • Be Here Now, released in 1997.
  • Standing on the Shoulder of Giants, released in 2000.
  • Heathen Chemistry, released in 2002.
  • Don't Believe the Truth, released in 2005.
  • Dig Out Your Soul, released in 2008.

Noel Gallagher left Oasis in August 2009, before a scheduled Paris show at Rock en Seine on 28 August 2009. The band then split, and the brothers built separate solo careers. Liam fronted Beady Eye, and Noel formed Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

2024: the announcement

A short teaser video appeared after Liam Gallagher's Reading Festival set on 25 August 2024. The same teaser appeared on the band's social media profiles. Speculation then turned into a formal announcement two days later.

"The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over."

That wording opened the announcement, which covered United Kingdom and Ireland dates for summer 2025. It also said that other continents would follow later that year.

Seventeen dates across five cities were announced at first. Three more dates were added on 29 August 2024 after very high demand. General sale tickets went on sale on 31 August 2024.

Around 14 million people were reported to have sought 1.4 million tickets for the first 17 shows. That figure is reported, not an official audited count. Long queues, error messages and dynamic pricing drew heavy criticism from fans.

In late October 2024, promoters cancelled more than 50,000 Live '25 tickets listed on unauthorised sites. Those tickets were returned for sale at face value through Ticketmaster. That figure belongs to Live '25, and it is not a Live '27 count.

Live '25: the first reunion tour

Live '25 opened at Principality Stadium in Cardiff on 4 July 2025. It closed at Estádio do Morumbi in São Paulo on 23 November 2025.

The tour played 41 shows in 14 countries across Europe, North America, South America, Asia and Australia. Support varied by region, and the United Kingdom and Ireland dates included Cast and Richard Ashcroft. North American dates included Cage the Elephant, while other regions added local support acts.

Reported gross for the tour was 525,282,160 dollars, with attendance reported at over two million people. Those totals are reported tour figures, not figures this site has audited show by show. The Cardiff opening set drew heavily on the first two albums, and it is recorded as a Live '25 set, not a Live '27 prediction.

Six Oasis releases re-entered the United Kingdom charts around the announcement. Live Forever reached a new peak at number eight. That chart bounce showed how much catalogue interest the reunion had created before a single 2025 show had happened.

From Live '25 to Live '27

Noel Gallagher told talkSPORT, as reported by NME, that the Live '27 decision came after the second Wembley show on 26 July 2025. He said that Cardiff and Manchester had gone well by then. He said that somebody then asked whether the band would do it again, and the plan was set in motion.

A documentary about the 2025 tour, Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger, premiered on 5 September 2026. Nine days later, on 14 September 2026, Oasis announced Live '27 with 38 shows. A teaser campaign ended with a drone show over the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.

Registration for Live '27 closed at 4pm BST on 17 September 2026. Four more shows were added on 23 September 2026, taking the total to 42. The new shows were at Munich on 6 July, Rome on 26 July and Knebworth on 25 and 26 September.

One Paris date also moved, from 24 July to 20 July 2027, because of railway engineering works near Stade de France. Paris therefore plays on 20 and 23 July 2027. Organisers have confirmed that no further Live '27 dates will be added.

Live '27 used a code ballot, not a general onsale. Successful registrants received a code for an allocated window on 25, 26 or 27 September 2026. All 42 shows then sold out, and standard United Kingdom prices were fixed from £71.50 to £266.60, including fees.

Richard Ashcroft is special guest at every Live '27 show. That point matters, because earlier coverage sometimes listed him for the United Kingdom and Ireland dates only. Face-value resale runs through Ticketmaster, and through Twickets for United Kingdom tickets, opening no later than 31 December 2026.

All 42 shows then sold out, and the sold-out guide explains that there was never a general onsale. The tickets page gives the official resale route and the price range. Readers should use those routes first, before any resale listing.

What is still unknown

No Live '27 setlist has been published. No running order, stage time or set length has been announced for any show. Anyone printing a 2027 running order is guessing, and this site does not do that.

Only Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher are confirmed by name for Live '27. Richard Ashcroft is confirmed as special guest, not as a band member. Every other touring member remains unconfirmed for Live '27, even if a source lists expected names from Live '25.

Gate times are also unannounced for most Live '27 shows. The full schedule gives dates, cities and venues, and it marks unannounced details as unannounced. Readers should check the official ticket route before travelling, rather than relying on a resale listing.
